Making It As a Solo Professional
NEWBO'S exciting 2008-2009 programming season launches on September 10 with award-winning humorist, entrepreneur and recovering corporate marketer Michael Katz.
Michael's presentation, Making it as a Solo Professional, translates his unique view of everyday life into useful, authentic and entertaining business insights. In this practical, informative and fast-paced
session, he talks about why he left Corporate America eight years ago and set off on his own. Using real world examples, he'll share what he's learned and offer his recommendations for anyone considering - or in the midst of - making it as a solo professional. This presentation covers critical topics such as pricing your services, standing out from the crowd, becoming a leading expert, believing in your own success, and more.
September's dinner is always very popular. We have limited seating this year, so be sure to register early and avoid disappointment!

Take Exit27B, "Winter Street". After exiting the ramp onto Winter Street, look for signs for First Avenue. First Avenue is a left-hand turn, but do not get in either of the two left-most lanes (Second Avenue). Be in the third lane, just to the left of the right lane (for traffic continuing on Winter St). Once you make the left onto First Avenue, turn left immediately into the hotel parking lot.
